Heating

There are electric oil filled radiators in every room, and an electric flame effect fire in the sitting room

Car Parking

A weekly ticket for one car is provided for the harbour car park 25 yards away. You can unload for a short period directly outside the cottage.

Access

The cottage occupies the upper floors of a 19th century harbour front building. Access is via a wooden staircase, so unfortunately the cottage is not suitable for those with limited mobility.

Features

Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Equipment includes TV, DVD player, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. Electricity by key meter, first £10 provided.

Availabilty

The cottage is available on a weekly basis, with changeover on a Saturday. Out of high season weekend and mid-week short breaks are considered.

Smoking

Smokers are welcome, but are requested to smoke only on the lower floor.

Local amenities

All the amenities of this working fishing village are close at hand including pubs, shops and restaurants, bus links, and a summer ferry service to Fowey departing from the quay. There are also regular boat / fishing trips departing from the quay. 

There are varied walks in the surrounding countryside and along the coastal footpath which leads to the cove at Portmellon about 1 mile to the south, and beyond to the sandy beach at Gorran Haven. St Austell is 5 miles away, and has a leisure centre with swimming pool, a main line railway station that connects with local buses, and two large supermarkets.There are several gardens close to the cottage including The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project and Trewithen.

Arrival and departure

Arrival is from 3pm on the first day of rental. If you will be arrving late please inform the owners and advise of your arrival time. Depature is by 10am on the last day of rental.
